GCS English 8 Blog

Hello everyone. Thanks for visiting our new classroom blog. A blog can be wonderful for communicating between students, parents, and teachers, as well as keeping everyone up to date and informed.

As a helpful hint to parents, throughout this year in 8th grade your child will be given several long-term assignments. The reason for this is so that your child learns how to plan and manage their own time, which is a struggle for many students when they enter high school. These types of assignments may be assigned weekly, monthly, or quarterly. Your 8th grade student is given the due date of every assignment at the time it is given. There is also a monthly calendar of these due dates that is posted, and constantly updated, on the wall in the classroom. I have also posted the due date with each assignment on this blog. If you have any questions, please feel free to post a question here (just know that it will be seen by others), email rbristol@greenwichcsd.org, or call 692-9542 and ask for me.

I am open to suggestions! If you feel that the site is missing a component that would be helpful, please let me know and I will try my best to incorporate it into the existing blog. I look forward to the possibilities that this forum can create for all of us. Happy Blogging!
